Summary: Under the direction of the Road Department Director, this position is responsible for safely and efficiently carrying out labor duties assigned by department personnel. The role requires strong ethical standards, professionalism, and a service-oriented approach to customer service.

The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.Maintenance Duties: Oversee the upkeep of transfer stations, compactor sites, and waste containers.Equipment Care: Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment. Operational Support: Assist in chip sealing operations, mowing of right-of-way areas, and vector and weed management.Infrastructure Support: Aid in the installation and maintenance of cattle guards and culverts.Facility Maintenance: Contribute to the upkeep of the shop, welding, tire center, buildings, and grounds.Administrative Assistance: Provide support in the Road Administration, Purchasing office, and Engineering Technician office.Custodial Duties: Perform cleaning and maintenance of facilities including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces. Ensure restrooms are stocked, clean, and properly maintained. Manage waste and recycling collection and disposal.Other related tasks and duties as assigned.Supervision: Works under the direction of the Road Department Director or DesigneeSupervisory Responsibilities: Supervises no one.
