Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Coordinator

This is a grant funded position, through 5/31/2027 with possibility of extension
Salary Range: $50,108.92 - $65,767.96. 

This is an exempt (salaried) position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity consideration included an assessment of the applicant’s salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirement for the job.

This role is on-site 5 days a week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening and weekends events are required.

This role requires 30% travel. Vehicle is not provided. Mileage is reimbursed for business related travel.

Specific JobDescription:
TheTriple P Coordinator is a grant-funded position with the Improving Community Outcomes for Maternal & Child Health (ICO4MCH) initiative. TheTriple P Coordinator leads in implementation and evaluation of the PositiveParenting Program (Triple P) in a multi-county region with organizations andindividuals serving children ages 0-5. Coreresponsibilities include recruiting trainees to complete Triple Paccreditation, coaching trained Triple P practitioners, working with aninterdisciplinary Community Action/Implementation Team, coordinating peersupport groups, facilitating information sessions and Seminars, and collaboratingacross community agencies at the local and state levels. 

Triple P works toreduce child maltreatment, out of home placements, and behavioral problems inchildren and adolescents. Triple P also aims to improve the overall health ofchildren through increasing parenting confidence and competence.
Position responsibilities include:
Targeted recruitment of partners with vested interest in the 0-5 population, specifically Childcare Centers, Faith Communities, and Pediatric practices
Providing Triple P Information presentations, Seminars and Discussion Group to stimulate community interest
Coordinating Triple P trainings for Mecklenburg and Union counties (MCH Initiative) or a larger multi-county region (Title V)
Ensuring the collection of data evaluating the impact of select Triple P strategies
Assisting with developing and implementing sustainability plans to maintain Triple P beyond the grant period
Coordinating and implementing ‘Stay Positive’ media campaign in collaboration with Triple P International

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of two years of public relations, communications, or related experience.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications or directly related field.
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes

Licenses and Certifications

• May require a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
• May need to obtain and maintain a Mecklenburg County Operator's Permit
• Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be able to travel between Mecklenburg and surrounding counties and across the state as needed
Must demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and implementation skills
Comprehensive knowledge of child development.
Must have knowledge and understanding of diverse cultures
Must possess effective communication skills with the public, clients, staff, peers and management
Must exhibit strong interpersonal and soft skills, and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders
Must possess strong organizational, time management, and implementation skills
Must possess problem solving, conflict resolution, critical and strategic thinking and analytical skills
Must be able to collaborate, influence decisions, build trust, and respect diverse perspectives

Computer Skills

Must possess intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook skills
