The County of Riverside's Finance and Business Unit at Riverside University Health System's Public Health Department seeks a Senior Accountant to join our team in Riverside.
This position will be responsible for overseeing financial analyses and projections conducted by budget accountants, reviewing journal entries and Program Change Notice (PCN) documents, and providing assistance with quarterly budget adjustments and preparation of annual reports.
Candidates with knowledge of governmental accounting standards and best practices, experience in budget creation, and preferably at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, as well as proficiency in relevant software such as PeopleSoft financials and experience with Access database, are highly desired.

Degree and Accounting Concentration Verification:
We must be able to verify that you meet the Accounting concentration requirement for this position. Before the closing date, you must upload one of the following to your NeoGov account: a copy of your degree if your major was in Accounting, transcripts if you minored in Accounting, a valid California CPA or CIA license, or a Foreign Equivalency Evaluation from a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE) if your Accounting degree was awarded outside of the United States. Applications submitted without transcripts will not be considered.I understand that I must furnish evidence of my degree with an Accounting concentration or California CPA/CIA license to confirm my compliance with the educational prerequisites before completing my application.
