About CourseCareers

The college system doesn’t make financial sense for most 18-year-olds or people changing careers. Some of the world’s most respected VCs are talking about this broken system.

Historically, most non-college education has felt scammy. We have to change that.

Because we don’t want to live in a world where the only way to enter a high-paying profession is by first paying $10K or more. It’s not fair, and it prevents great talent from entering the workforce.

Our goal is to help people get entry-level roles in tech and beyond, empowering them to earn much more than their current path – in about 3 months, for about $500.

Several of our graduates have gone from being truck-drivers or baristas to earning $70K annually in their first entry-level tech sales role. It’s not possible with all careers, but it is with some.

In the coming months, we’re expanding to more cool, in-demand careers where employers cannot hire trained people fast enough.

About the Role

Location: Fully remote, overlapping at least 5 hours/day Monday - Friday in the MST time-zone

Responsibilities

  • Driving purchase conversion through marketing pages and emails

  • Increasing the % of students completing their course and passing with a high grade

  • Bringing to life our mission and brand in new ways

Reporting to: Product Director

What You’ll Do

  • Partner on nailing down the key tenets of our positioning and brand voice

  • Optimize existing nurture emails with brand voice and updated information

  • Partner on top-of-funnel content

  • Partner on a new student onboarding, progress tracker, and encouraging email nudges

What You'll Need

Table Stakes:

  • Punchy, trustworthy, concise writing style

  • Deep mission alignment with helping people believe in their ability to change their future

  • A temperament / preference for working fast

Should Have:

  • Prior experience driving conversion

  • Prior experience working with several personas

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience with

    • ActiveCampaign

    • A/B tests

    • Heatmaps (e.g. LuckyOrange, Matomo, or similar)

    • Conversion data (e.g. MixPanel)

    • Purchase paths (e.g. Google Analytics)

Compensation

  • We want to start part-time (i.e. 20 hours/week) for 1-2 weeks, so we can both assess fit.

  • We anticipate the initial workload being full-time for at least 2 months.

  • From there, we’re looking for hours per week to flex up or down based on workload.

  • $40-50/hour
