About This Position

At Courtesy Products, serving the hospitality industry is at the core of what we do. This position will have you involved with our products daily like our Café Valet line of coffees and other in-house products where you will process, package, and monitor coffee production.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Maximize Quality Production
• Ensure only quality product are getting packaged, placed in cases properly and stacked on pallets correctly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with OSHA, FDA, GMP and HACCP guidelines
• Report any waste of raw materials above normal levels
• Ensure all safety precautions are taken prior to operating machines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform and/or assist in changeovers as directed
• Train other individuals in operating equipment and packing product
• Perform clean up and sanitation of equipment as directed
• Ensure work station is stocked daily for the next shift of operation
• Maintain production rates and parameters as directed
• Ensure proper code date is on packages and finished cases
• Perform quality checks on packaging; inform supervisor of any non-conforming product
• Report any equipment problems to Production Manager/Quality Control Supervisor
• Perform other duties as required

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High level of adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP'S) with regards to food safety REQUIRED.
• Packaging experience is REQUIRED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work alone and manage time effectively
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Computer experience is PREFERRED.
• Organization and time management.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• ABLE TO WORK: MONDAY - THURSDAY, 6 AM - 4:30 PM
