Duties And Responsibilities
- Build a supportive relationship with youth that encourages them to find their voice and connects them to opportunities, experiences and resources that enrich and enhance their lives.
- Create learning opportunities which offer youth voice, choice and are adaptive.
- Train on and implement the identified parenting curriculum with the Senior Service Manager.
- Manage all aspects of volunteer programs at Raphaels Life House.
- Collaborate with the Senior Service Manager to ensure volunteer programming is appropriate and adds value.
- Demonstrate best practices as provided through the Model of Care training materials and coach volunteers to deliver program services in alignment with the model.
- Liaison between volunteers and program team to ensure seamless communication and quality programming to residents.
- Attend volunteer activities to support and maintain volunteer programming.
- Ensure that volunteers are consistently using the Portal.
- Communicate the work of donor volunteers for the purpose of appropriate recognition and donor cultivation.
- Attend quarterly Mother-Child program Board meetings and provide volunteer and program updates.
- Collaborate on an annual volunteer recognition event.
- Work on special projects as needed and assigned by the department leadership.
- Assists as needed with fundraising affairs and special events which may be conducted outside the employees normal business work schedule.
- Applicant must be available to work 3 days a week 9:00 AM -5:00 PM
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
- Two years experience working with volunteers.
- A valid New Jersey drivers license with an insurable driving record is required.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, motivational and assessment skills
- Computer & Electronic literacy required
