SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION

This is a safety-sensitive position; all team members have the responsibility for their own safety and those around them. Per company policy, being under the influence is not permitted while on Company premises. Team members must be clear-minded and diligent while operating machinery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for overseeing the overall maintenance, repair and cleanliness of all Texas facilities occupied by the company. 
• Schedule and supervise maintenance and custodial personnel in the performance of their assigned tasks.
• Prepare Performance Appraisals.
• Train and develop staff.
• Handle and procure all recycled goods and coordinate scheduled pickups.
• Maintain department records, files and pertinent documents in an orderly fashion.
• Maintain building security.
• Coordinate with public or private inspectors, contractors, etc., when needed. Secure permits and licenses as needed. Solicit bids on projects assigned to the department.
• Accepts, evaluates and assign facility maintenance request from other departments.
• Enforce safety procedures and programs affecting the department.
• Maintain and upkeep Gerber and Lectra Cutters and Logo Press and Dryer.Maintain and upkeep Eton Unit Production System.
• Ensure that proper daily, weekly and long-term maintenance of assigned key equipment is done.
• Maintain necessary record keeping and documentation related to all listed key equipment.
• Maintain adequate parts inventory for all key equipment.
• Develop and maintain departmental work instructions.
• Maintain all TS16949, Q1, and EMS requirements.
• Lend support to all satellite facilities as needed.

AUTHORITY:

All personnel are responsible for quality and therefore have the authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct quality problems.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical wiring.
• Knowledge in the proper use of power equipment and basic maintenance tools.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints or schematic drawings.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of cad cutting systems.
• Knowledge of VPS (Eton).

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE:

Three to four years of related experience and/or on the job training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must have a full range of motion, including but not limited to, standing, bending, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching and climbing as necessary to complete the job assigned.
• Must be able to work in a moderate noise level.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced job environment.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
