Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Recreation Therapist at Covington Behavioral Health. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for conducting therapeutic recreational activities and implementing treatment plans for individuals with mental health disorders. The role involves creating progress notes, facilitating art therapy, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Qualifications
- Recreation and Therapeutic Recreation skills
- Certification in Therapeutic Recreation or CTRS preferred (Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist)
- Ability to create detailed progress notes
- Experience or training in Art Therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Prior experience in a mental health treatment setting is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field
