As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of our accounting department. This includes maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. You will perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.

The Role:

• Manage all accounting transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
• Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements in a timely manner.
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure timely bank payments and manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
• Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Bookkeeping and Reconciliation:

• Handle deposits into payment portals, including SAP transactions, credits, fees, and adjustments.
• Reconcile deposits with bank accounts at CorTrust Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.
• Deposit hard copy checks into our CorTrust operating account.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

• Manage accounts payable, including checks, e-pay methods (direct debit, bank transfer, intercompany), and filing of invoices.
• Oversee accounts receivable, monitor past due accounts, engage customers via email and phone calls, and approve shipments for term pay customers.

Office Maintenance:

• Perform regular office duties, including mail postage, new hire onboarding, office supplies management, and monthly copy count reporting.

Cash Position and Credit Card Monitoring:

• Conduct daily review and clearing of “Manual Verification Required” items.
• Monitor daily cash position, make necessary transfers from PayPal, and use Line of Credit as necessary.
• Monitor credit card purchases, enter monthly invoices for each card, and make payments from the CorTrust operating account.

Product Payments and Payroll Administration:

• Track product payments and wire money to overseas suppliers.
• Administer weekly payroll process and related accounting.

Insurance and Commercial Duties:

• Manage benefits insurance, including arranging coverage for new employees or changes for existing employees.
• Handle commercial insurance matters, including payments, claims, and renewals.
• Perform monthly duties such as rent payment, loan payments, and financial reporting.

Monthly Accounting Closing Process:

• Conduct bank reconciliations, standard journal entries, and manage prepaid expenses and insurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
• Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures.
• Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
