- Job Summary
- This pharmacist position is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients scheduled in our chemotherapy and ambulatory infusion centers, as well as within our inpatient oncology spaces. This includes order verification and oversight of hazardous and non-hazardous drug compounding, collaboration with the nursing team and providers regarding patient regimens, active involvement with service line committees, and the provision of patient education.
- In addition, this pharmacist position will serve as team lead, engaging with the staff, site supervisors, and leaders across the organization to ensure successful completion and maintenance of assigned initiatives and projects.
- This individual must display maturity, independence, initiative, and strong communication and organizational skills. In addition, the individual will exemplify the CoxHealth mission, vision, and values and act in accordance with CoxHealth policies and procedures.
- Job Requirements
- Education
- Required: B.S. in Pharmacy required
- Preferred: Pharm.D. degree preferred
- Experience
- ONE of the following:
- Two years of residency, including a one-year specialty residency in oncology/ambulatory care
- One year of general residency plus two years of current direct-patient care in oncology/ambulatory care
- Five years of current direct-patient care experience in oncology/ambulatory care
- ONE of the following:
- Skills
- Individual would spend approximately 70% of the time with patient-centered responsibilities in oncology/ambulatory care, and 30% completing committee and special project responsibilities.
- Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, other computer systems software, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment as necessary.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Licensed by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist, or eligible for licensure by Missouri Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist, and licensure obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) certified at time of hire, or expected within 3 years of starting the position.
- **Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire**
