CPG is Hiring an Assistant Project Manager, Non Construction Near Jessup, MD

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting Project Leads in organizing ongoing OTS projects. This task involves monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures and ensuring that project deadlines are met on time. The Assistant Project Manager, OTS, will assist with processes, procedures, management, and documentation needed for CPG's multiple data center infrastructure services. Specific services include Controls Team Design, Installation, Upgrade, Repair and/or Testing. 
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures. 
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings. 
Assist in site surveys, site cost studies, projected costs, forecasts, cost codes and progress reports, as required. 
  • Observing and measuring project scope and performance against the project plan to ensure that the project is within acceptable variances of cost, budget, schedule, and scope. 
  • Coordinating the acquisition of major materials, and monitoring tool and equipment requirements with project leadership and the warehouse, as required 
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings. 
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met. 
  • Determining project changes. 
  • Providing administrative support as needed. 
  • Undertaking project tasks as required. 
  • Assist in developing project strategies. 
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project. 
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable. 
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members. 
  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective. 
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor. 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a related field 
  • Knowledge in file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures 
Computer Skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Experience in using computers for a variety of tasks
