Lead Pharmacy Technician, Supervisor - Full Time Central State Hospital Louisville, Kentucky

As a full time non exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff- P harmacy Lead Technician-Supervisor, you will report to the Director of Pharmacy at Central State and assist in variety of pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. In this role, the selected candidate will support the pharmacy services and assist in direct supervision, scheduling and ongoing development of the pharmacy support staff and clerical staff, maintenance of workflow efficiency, and assistance in administrative functions including preparation of data required for reporting to the state of Kentucky. In this role you will staff as a technician 2-3 days a week; preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements. Other responsibilities include working with intra-departmental leadership and external departments to improve pharmacy services & departmental orientation.

Schedule : This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM. In this role you will work as a technician 2-3 days a week as needed. No Weekends!

About the Facility: Central State Hospital is part of Commonwealth of KY and is a behavioral Health Acute Care Hospital licensed for 100 beds providing various levels of care for acute and long-term care patients, to facilitate the recovery and return to community life. The site located in Louisville, Kentucky and is an employer to approximately 300 employees. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy utilizes AcuDose software and dispensing cabinets, and Meditech EMAR. This Pharmacy is open Monday-Friday: 8:00AM to 4:30PM.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• Kentucky Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing
• PTCB or ExCPT Certification
• 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician, hospital setting preferred
• Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
• Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
• Hep B3 Series (or declination)
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1 st -April 30 th
• COVID Vaccine
