Elementary Campus Instructional Coach

Days: 197

Pay Grade: Teacher Pay Scale

Primary Purpose:

Support the campus implementation of highly effective strategies designed to increase student achievement.

Provide academic coaching and mentoring designed to build teaching capacity and to retain highly qualified classroom teachers.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree in curriculum or content area preferred

Valid Texas Teaching Certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Thorough knowledge of Texas curriculum standards in all content areas

Thorough knowledge of the relationship between the written, taught, and tested curriculum

Confidence and experience in presenting information to adult audiences

Knowledge of the district Response to Intervention (Rtl) model

Ability to provide targeted support in analyzing student assessment data

Ability to develop and deliver quality professional development experiences and follow-up

Commitment to support the vision, mission, and initiatives of the district and the campus

Knowledge of effective instructional strategies, methods, and skills

Ability to effectively align curriculum resources to instructional needs

Excellent organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

5 years of recent successful classroom teaching experience preferred

Experience in successfully leading professional development experiences preferred
