Position: Director of Programs

Status: Full time, 40 hours/week

Pay Range: $40,000 to $45,000 per year

For 25 years, Cranaleith Spiritual Center has served over 55,000 visitors. Known as a sanctuary of trees, Cranaleith is a nonprofit retreat and conference center supporting those who wish to reflect on what matters deeply in their lives, renew their spirit for life and work, or restore themselves from life’s traumas. Individuals and groups are invited to participate in retreats and programs in Cranaleith’s spirit-rekindling environment of well-being, respect, and harmony. Cranaleith is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy.

Position Description:

The Director of Programs is responsible for developing and realizing programs and events aligned with the mission of Cranaleith that: intentionally attend to spirituality needs and support Mercy’s critical concerns (racism, immigration, women, earth, nonviolence). In addition to fulfilling the principal duties and responsibilities listed below, the successful candidate will project a high degree of identification with and passion for the mission of Mercy.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop an ongoing schedule of programs and events which reflects the mission of Cranaleith.

· Identify, partner with and support facilitators to create programs and events.

· Support the Executive Director in developing and managing annual programs/events budget.

· Assess and evaluate existing programs/events and utilize resulting information for improvement.

· Support Board of Directors’ Program Committee and engage them in developing program/event ideas and Cranaleith’s connections to the community.

· Other related duties and responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Gracious and merciful hospitality demonstrates respect for the dignity of all.

· Bachelor’s degree and/or at least two years of previous retreat and administrative experience.

· Experience in retreat ministry and management/administration preferred.

· Highly organized and capable of handling a variety of responsibilities related to program/event development and operations.

· Ability to integrate technology within programs/events.

· Computer skills and proficiency (Zoom, Office 365).

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work evenings, weekends, and daytime in a flex schedule as required.
