Position Title: Accounting and Reporting Manager
Position Overview: The Accounting and Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and accounting operations within the organization. This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory standards. Review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance and trends. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits. Coordinate audit activities, provide requested documentation and explanations, and ensure audit findings are addressed promptly. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls to mitigate risks and strengthen financial reporting integrity. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including tax laws, regulatory filings, and reporting requirements. Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Communicate financial results, and key metrics to internal stakeholders. Present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with NetSuite preferred. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
