Job SummaryThe Engineering and Project Manager will manage machine orders through design, purchasing, and production phases, ensuring efficient delivery to customers in the service preparation industry. The Manager will oversee a small team of 3-5 engineers and draftsmen, ensuring timely completion of projects and fostering a culture of mentorship and growth.
Key Responsibilities: Manage Engineering Projects: Oversee all aspects of engineering projects from concept to production, ensuring on-time delivery. Lead & Mentor Team: Supervise and mentor 3-5 engineers and draftsmen, ensuring professional growth and project success. Develop Design Concepts: Create detailed, manufacturable designs using SolidWorks, suitable for both in-house and outsourced fabrication. Project Coordination: Manage the full project lifecycle, from design to production, including ordering, inventory management, and material sourcing. Customer Communication: Act as the main point of contact with customers, setting expectations and providing regular updates. Ensure Compliance & Quality: Ensure all designs meet regulatory and quality standards. Trade Shows & Travel: Minimal travel, with occasional opportunities to attend trade shows. Competitors: Be aware of industry competitors, such as ARS and Industrial Vacuum, and help the company scale operations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). 15 years of engineering experience, with a strong background in manufacturing and project management, from concept through delivery. Experience managing a team and mentoring engineers. Proficient in SolidWorks and Fishbowl. Experience in the industrial equipment sector, with knowledge of blasting and reclaiming equipment. Knowledge of managing the full engineering lifecycle, from design to inventory and production and delivery.
