We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our client’s team and contribute to their ongoing success in Melbourne. Our client is a leading wholesale kitchen and bath supplier, dedicated to providing high-quality products to our customers. The company specializes in offering a wide range of kitchen and bath solutions to contractors, builders, and designers.
The base salary is $45-60k plus 1.5% commission on what is sold. This is a full-time, permanent position that includes full benefits. This position will be working 100% on-site.
As a Kitchen and Bath Designer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting customers with their kitchen and bath design needs. Your primary responsibility will be to create innovative and functional designs using the 20/20 Design software. You will work closely with customers, understanding their requirements, and providing them with expert advice and solutions. Your goal will be to ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional designs that align with their aesthetic preferences, functional requirements, and budgetary considerations.
ResponsibilitiesDesign Development: Utilize the 20/20 Design software to create detailed and accurate kitchen and bath designs for our customers. Incorporate their specific requirements, including space utilization, cabinetry, fixtures, appliances, and finishes, while adhering to industry standards and best practices. Customer Consultation: Interact with customers to understand their design preferences, lifestyle, and functional needs. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to help them make informed decisions regarding the selection of products, materials, colors, and layout options. Project Management: Collaborate with the sales team, contractors, and project managers to ensure the seamless execution of kitchen and bath projects. Coordinate with suppliers to source the necessary products and materials, ensuring timely delivery and installation. Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, innovations, and advancements in the kitchen and bath industry. Acquire in-depth knowledge of our product offerings, including cabinetry, countertops, sinks, faucets, appliances, and lighting, to effectively assist customers in making informed decisions. Documentation and Presentations: Prepare accurate design proposals, including 3D renderings, material selections, and cost estimates. Clearly communicate design concepts to customers, using visual aids and presentations to showcase the proposed designs and product recommendations. Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with customers, architects, contractors, and industry professionals. Provide exceptional customer service throughout the design and implementation process, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Kitchen and Bath Designer, preferably within the wholesale kitchen and bath industry. Extensive experience working with the 20/20 Design software is required. Proficiency in 20/20 Design Software: Strong proficiency in using the 2020 software to create detailed and accurate designs is essential. Ability to leverage the software's features and functionalities to deliver creative and functional design solutions. Design Expertise: In-depth knowledge of kitchen and bath design principles, space planning, cabinetry, fixtures, appliances, and finishes. Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and ADA guidelines. Creativity and Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to create innovative and visually appealing designs while considering practical functionality. Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously review designs, ensuring accuracy and precision. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and industry professionals. Proficient in translating technical concepts into easily understandable terms. Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively. Experience in coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely project completion. Customer Focus: Genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations. Ability to empathize with customers' needs and provide personalized design solutions. Education: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant certifications in kitchen and bath design or interior design will be advantageous.
