Location: Fresno/Madera
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
Position SummaryOur client, a development center for the disabled, is seeking an LVN to work at their Fresno location. This position is 90% administrative, with 1 client that requires assistance with a catheter. The LVN will work closely with Case Manager & Program Manager. Communicates directly with families, homes, CVRC, physicians, and Program Manager regarding anything medically related to individuals' care or diagnosis.
Ideal candidates should have 2-3 years of experience, including working with a "restricted healthcare plan.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles and use equipment such as catheters and tracheotomy tubes. Educate staff on healthcare topics such as diabetes, blood-borne pathogens, lifting, etc. Writes restrictive health care plans for specific clients prior to their onboarding. Trains staff prior to the client’s first day at the program. Audits healthcare plans and medication administration records bi-annually or as needed. Assures that proper infection control protocol is followed when using feeding tubes, syringes or catheters or any other medical equipment.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Graduate from an accredited practical nurse or vocational nursing program. Current California license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Experience with "restricted healthcare plan." Must possess valid California Driver's License, auto insurance and clean DMV records for any position where driving is required. Must have current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates within six months of hire. For all licensing programs, all employees must complete these requirements on the first day of hire: Fingerprinting, CPR/First Aid certificate, TB test and a Physical
