This is a remote, work-from-home position based in South Florida. However, the candidate must be available to appear in court, attend depositions, site inspections, and other necessary in-person engagements.
Responsibilities
Serve as the first chair in trial proceedings, leveraging your expertise in personal injury law. Defend against general liability and commercial automobile claims. Provide subject matter expertise and contribute to the success of the team. Collaborate with a team of remote and on-site staff, including paralegals, legal case assistants, and other support personnel. Utilize cloud-based software applications for matter management, document management, and other legal processes. Embrace technology and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Requirements
Minimum 10 years of insurance defense experience, with a focus on personal injury law. Demonstrated first chair jury trial experience. Strong knowledge of general liability and commercial automobile claims defense. Previous experience as a team leader or supervisor is a plus. Proficiency in utilizing technology for the practice of law and a willingness to learn new technologies. Adherence to the highest ethical and professional standards.
