Job Responsibilities

Creare is focused on developing and manufacturing new high-technology products for a variety of customers and marketplaces.

Creare is seeking an experienced Production Specialist to support the Manufacturing Department Engineers with a variety of responsibilities: shepherding parts through production processes (design, engineering, fabrication, quality assurance), managing parts procurement, and collaborating with vendors and external manufacturers. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and preferably experience in electronics and aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support Manufacturing Engineers with the production process from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Oversee parts procurement, including sourcing, negotiating prices, and managing relationships with suppliers.
  • Expedite materials and services with vendors and external manufacturers; ensure adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
  • Implement and adhere to production schedules, optimizing workflow efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Follow safety protocols and quality control measures throughout the production process.
  • Understand ISO9001/AS9100 quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and quality assurance, to resolve production issues and improve processes.

Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in production planning and/or logistics , preferably in a research and development environment. Minimum 2 years of experience, with a preference of 5 or more years.
  • Strong understanding of parts procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Experience working with vendors and external manufacturers, preferably in electronics and/or aerospace industries.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong team collaborator and problem-solver.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite.

Creare offers a competitive compensation package, including but not limited to a substantial annual staff bonus, industry-leading 401(k) contributions and plan options, and a range of medical plan offerings. Starting salary range of $75,000 - $100,000 per year, based on level of education completed, and years of relevant experience.
