Job SummaryThe Speech Language Pathologist enhances resident intentional communication by interpreting evaluations and test results; identifying speech, language, voice and swallowing disorders; determining speech therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription; providing counseling and guidance; observing resident progress.
Essential Job Functions
Collaborate in a long-term care rehab environment, delivering services often initiated in acute medical care. As a Speech Pathologist in this setting, engage as a vital part of interdisciplinary teams overseeing direct resident management. Actively listen, invest time in understanding perspectives, ask pertinent questions, and avoid disruptive interruptions.
