Our global restaurant client is looking for a REMOTE, freelance Instructional Designer to start mid-May, 30 - 40 hours per week, for the next 4 weeks.
The Instructional Designer will update, shorten, simplify and format two compliance training assets in Articulate Storyline. First one is focused on chemical safety. Videos will be 4 - 10 minutes each. Additional projects could follow if the candidate proves to work efficiently and produce quality work!
Instructional Designer Responsibilities
- Work from provided detailed slide-by-slide storyboard
- Design and build training in Storyline within template framework, apply some creativity for design and execution
- Present design direction for approval first
- Focus on a good design, functionality, efficiency, ease of use, proficiency and flow
- Design elements such as infographics as needed
- Proactively recommend ideas for design, flow, etc.
- Incorporate narration
- Attend daily status meetings for first couple of weeks then every other day
- Be available during work hours to communicate
- Proactively communicate questions and status of projects
- Work quickly and autonomously
Instructional Designer Requirements
- Expertise in Articulate Storyline
- Own computer and software
- Ability to communicate and attend virtual meetings in Central time zone
- Compliance-related training course experience preferred
