Our client is the Product Marketing team of a global tech leader seeking a Product Marketing Manager/Strategist for a 1-year assignment with likely extension that will be 40 hours/week and onsite 4 days/week (Monday-Thursday) in the Plano, TX office.
The Product Marketing Manager/Strategist will:
- Own and champion division marketing strategies and activations within the the product category division
- Identify market opportunities and GTM strategies for product category
- Drive the implementation of the strategy through a formal brief presented to key internal and external stakeholders in order to develop a detailed tactical and KPI measurement plan
- Establish a formal and frequent cadence of reporting results through the development of a KPI dashboard and bi-monthly live meeting forum for key projects
- Consistently optimize the plan to maximize ROI and shift company financial resources into tactics that are delivering expected business results
- Serve as the nexus that connects together key stakeholders within the marketing organization both locally and globally; with non-marketing cross-functional teams; agency partners; and business leadership
- Foster collaboration to create and coordinate an integrated marketing execution of strategy
- Serve as the overall marketing expert of category and competitor product portfolios, GTM and marketing strategy to help the team develop industry leading marketing strategy
- Drive the creation of a shared reality within the marketing organization by providing a regular overview of the business goals, market situation, company and competitor product portfolios, target consumer personas, customer context (carriers and retailers), and competitor marketing playbooks
The Marketing Manager/Strategist must have:
- 4 years of experience in product marketing or business strategy within the consumer tech, CPG or FMCG industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to rapidly ramp up and lead the strategy, selection and measurement of partners with minimal supervision
- Ability to collaborate across company from strategic, analytical, and creative perspectives, with a focus on performance-based marketing outcomes
- Proven track record of challenging the status quo in order to create new product marketing playbooks
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
