Our client, a marketing communications agency in the B2B, science and pharma space is looking for a Social Media and Content Manager to join their team to lead their clients social media strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the B2B pharma industry.
This is a remote, freelance opportunity, 40 hours per week. They ideally would like to convert this person to full-time after several months. The ideal candidate will be located in the eastern time zone.
The Social Media Manager will be:
- creating and writing blog posts (500-1,000-words), creating copy for social posts, overseeing and executing start-to-finish blog post-delivery
- creating editorial calendars, identifying topics, establishing lead time, managing calendars, and maintaining deadlines
- establishing and managing process for ongoing info gathering from clients, and working closely with designers in planning images and graphics to support content
- drafting real-time social media content related to important client news/events as needed, including multiple conferences per year
This Social Media Manager will have:
- a bachelors degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
- at least 4 years experience working in the B2B, pharma or agency space
- experience in life science writing, social media tools and tactics as well as social media content creation
- experience in working with WordPress websites for uploading blog posts
- experience working with content scheduling platforms, with the ability to suggest more efficient options, staying on top of trends
- strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to each clients brand voice
- experience creating and posting social content in WordPress, LinkedIn, X and Facebook
- experience working in Monday.com and Slack would be ideal for internal communications and tasks
