Full and Part-time positions
$25 per hour
The clinic needs to fill two days per week in June, and then three days per week in July. There is potential for part time or full time.

Our clinic is a dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuters in order to promote responsible pet ownership and help control the pet population. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing high-quality, affordable spaying and neutering services.
Responsibilities for this position include:
Surgery Assistance: Assisting the Vet in surgical procedures, preparing the operating room, handling instruments, and providing support to veterinarians during surgery.
Anesthesia Monitoring: Monitoring anesthesia during procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals under sedation,
You will need be detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and able to handle the emotional aspects of working in animal healthcare.
Responsibilities for this position include:
1. Surgical Assistance:
- Assist veterinarians during spaying and neutering procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
- Monitor anesthesia and recovery of patients post-surgery.
2. Patient Care:
- Provide compassionate care to animals in pre-operative and post-operative stages.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians.
3. Medical Records:
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Input information into our electronic health record system.
4. Client Communication:
- Educate pet owners on post-surgical care and answer any questions or concerns.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients.
5. Equipment Maintenance:
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of surgical and medical equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with veterinarians, fellow technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification.
- Experience in a surgical setting, preferably with spaying and neutering procedures.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary anesthesia and surgical protocols.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude towards animals and clients.
