Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:
- Assist in Payroll preparation and mid-volume processing
- Reconciliations
- Assist in collections and AR aging schedules
- Review vendor invoices and create payables documents within the AP subledger
- Reconcile and analyze the GL through completing balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations
- Assist the Accounting team in preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, etc.)
Qualifications of the Accounting Assistant:
- Bachelor's degree
- 2 years of Accounting experience
- Very efficient in Excel (able to create formulas and pivot tables)
- Candidates need to be highly motivated, adaptable, and able to communicate efficiently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
