Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager is responsible for providing technical and financial accounting support to the Company. The Accounting Manager supports the implementation of new accounting pronouncements, acquisition/purchase accounting, research and drafting of technical memos, consolidations, complex accounting analysis and continue to improve a streamlined monthly close process.
Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of current accounting literature and communicate key developments to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
• Assist in the research, design and implementation of new accounting processes and procedures
• Support the implementation of projects related to the Lease Accounting Standards issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and other FASB standards as necessary
• Review and evaluate enterprise accounting for complex transactions to identify opportunities of improvement
• Partner with the other related subsidiaries on key technical accounting issues
• Proactively work to streamline the monthly close process and ensure closing activities are following generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the US
• Plays a key role in the annual close and audit process, coordinating closely with the external audit team
• Assist with the coordination of the annual audit of the Company and other related subsidiaries
• Ensure proper internal controls are executed and documented
• Review accounting policies for revision as often as needed based on legal and regulatory compliance with US GAAP requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably in accounting, finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred or CPA candidate preferred
• 3 years’ experience in roles with increasing responsibility in a public accounting setting preferred
• Oracle NetSuite or equivalent ERP system experience preferred
• Proficient in reading / interpreting financial statements
• Intermediate experience with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
