Accounting Manager Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all operations of the centralized accounting department.
- Month and year-end close (1099’s, Year-End Adjustments, Etc.)
- Management of general ledger
- High-level review and reconciliation of AR, AP, and payroll
- Supervise 2 direct reports that manage AP for all communities including invoice review, approval, and payment.
- Preparation of monthly/annual financial statements for all communities and corporate/consolidated entity
- Fixed asset management
- ACH Batch payment processing
- Company credit card administration
- Assist in debt management
- Coordination of annual audit
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field highly preferred.
- 4 years of accounting experience required.
- 1 years of experience leading and mentoring a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Strong ability to prioritize projects and tasks, while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to prepare, evaluate and understand financial statements and to identify key metrics.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
