Assistant Controller - succession to Controller
100 000 - 120 000 plus bonus

Overview of the Assistant Controller role:

• The Assistant Controller will take over for the Controller upon retirement and report to the CFO
• Responsible for the day to day functions, month-end close, audit and financial reporting
  • Supervising AP/AR and a staff accountant
• The Assistant Conytroller will foster a collaborative work environment while supporting and mentoring a team
• Post journal entries to the general ledger
• Prepare monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
• Interface with internal departments to compile financial data
• Compile financial data for corporate tax reporting
• Assist with annual physical inventory
• Standard job costing and assist with pricing increases

Preferred Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related
• 5 years experience in manufacturing industry
• Experience with standard cost and bills-of-material
