Responsibilities For Assistant Controller
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering and analyzing financial data.
- Collaborate with department heads to review budget variances and provide insights to improve financial performance.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed.
- Support external audit and tax engagements by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay current on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
- 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
