Responsibilities Of The Assistant Controller
- Hands on, assist in leading the domestic Accounting/Finance group and with overseeing/review of foreign subsidiaries financials and processes
- Help in leading the global month end close and internal reporting
- Assist in the process for financial reporting, reviewing of account reconciliations and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries
- Assist with budgeting, providing budget to actuals analysis and insights
- Analysis of gross margin by customers, products, and locations, working capital, production variances, costs, and forecasting results in balance sheet, income statement, cash flow
- Create and manage KPI’s to provide insight into trends, new opportunities, and risks
- Work closely with leadership to ensure that Finance is providing timely and accurate data needed to operate the business
- Ensure areas of risk are identified and the proper controls are in place
- Review and research new, complex, or unusual business transactions
- Assist with audits
- Point of contact for accounting systems in the Accounting/Finance function with the technology groups
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA is preferred
- Prior public accounting experience a plus
- Progressive experience supervising / leading Accounting functions
- Knowledge of technical accounting matters, GAAP, IFRS and foreign subsidiaries
- Manufacturing / Products industry experience
- Success and drive working as a true business partner to contribute to the overall company goals
- Ability to collaborate with groups cross-functionally
- Process/business improvements
