Position Summary: The Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of billing, and resolving any billing-related issues. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities Of The Billing Specialist
- Prepare and send out accurate invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Review and verify billing data, including contracts, orders, and other documentation.
- Handle billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies with clients and internal departments.
- Maintain up-to-date billing records and ensure proper documentation.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- The Billiing Specialist can even assist in month-end closing activities and generate reports as needed.
- Continuously improve billing processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with industry-specific billing practices is a plus.
