This role is crucial for maintaining our financial health and achieving our long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Develop and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure efficient financial operations.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to create realistic and achievable financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances, and providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Manage cash flow, including monitoring accounts receivable and payable, to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant tax and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure timely and accurate submission of audit information.
- Implement and maintain accounting software and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, including capital investments, cost reduction efforts, and new business opportunities.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
