Job Summary:

The Human Resources Specialist will manage payroll processing and support various HR activities. This role ensures accurate payroll operations and effective HR administration, requiring a solid understanding of payroll regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities of the Human Resources Specialist:

Payroll Processing:

  • Accurate Payroll Management: As the Human Resources Specialist , you will meticulously process timesheets, calculate wages, and handle deductions to ensure precise and timely semi-monthly payroll processing.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with payroll regulations, ensuring all payroll activities comply with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Timely Execution: Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and distributed on schedule, maintaining the trust and satisfaction of employees.

HR Administration:

  • Employee Records: Maintain and update comprehensive employee records within HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Onboarding and Benefits: Assist with onboarding and managing benefits administration, ensuring new hires are well-integrated and informed about their benefits.
  • Employee Inquiries: The Human Resources Specialist will effectively address employee inquiries about HR policies and benefits, providing clear and helpful responses.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Policy Adherence: Stay informed about the latest payroll and HR laws, ensuring all HR activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Detailed Reporting: Prepare accurate payroll tax returns and other necessary reports, providing essential data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Audit Support: Assist with audits by providing required documentation and information, ensuring a smooth and compliant audit process.

Employee Relations:

  • Inquiry Resolution: Promptly resolve employee inquiries related to payroll and HR, maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction.
  • Performance Support: Support performance management processes, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  • Engagement Initiatives: Assist with employee engagement initiatives, contributing to a positive and motivating workplace environment.

System Management:

  • HRIS Maintenance: The Human Resources Specialist will update HRIS and payroll software systems, ensuring they are configured to meet all processing needs.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Work with IT or external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, ensuring smooth HR operations.

Qualifications of the Human Resources Specialist:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in payroll and HR administration.
