Key Interim Controller Responsibilities:
- Monthly Financials: Directly oversee and manage the preparation and completion of monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconciliations & Close: Lead the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
- International Currency Exchange: Manage complexities of international currency exchange, including conversions, reporting, and compliance.
- International Tax Structure: Navigate and address complexities associated with international tax structures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Intercompany Accounting: Strong management of intercompany accounting across four entities, including minimal but essential intercompany transactions.
- Transfer Pricing: Handle transfer pricing and material transactions across international borders, ensuring compliance and optimization.
- Manual Intercompany Processes: Perform and manage intercompany transactions manually, with a future goal of automating these processes.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and progressive work environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and intercompany transactions.
Interim Controller Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in international financial operations and intercompany accounting.
- Proficiency in international currency exchange and tax structures.
- Expertise in managing intercompany accounting and transfer pricing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
