Accountant needed with our well-established retail client! Our client is seeking a full-time Accountant to join their accounting team. The Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP, general ledger reconciliations, maintenance of fixed assets, payroll audits, and T&E expenses. Primary Responsibilities:

• General ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct errors
• Timely month-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and accruals
• Financial statement analysis
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile Corp Amex transactions
• Assist with Bi-Annual inventory counts including researching count variances and shrink adjustments
• Audit general ledger account details for posting accuracy
• Maintain fixed assets and calculate depreciation
• Calculate and submit commissions, contests, etc. to payroll
• Audit payroll for accuracy
• Assist with year-end audits
• Respond to information requests on a timely basis
• Other analysis/projects as assigned

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 1 years of accounting experience
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of GAAP
