Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:
As a Payroll Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and precise distribution of payments.
Employee Records Management: Maintain and update employee records related to payroll, including changes in salary, benefits, and deductions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax requirements.
Payroll Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related matters promptly and professionally.
Reporting: Generate payroll reports as needed for internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:
The ideal candidate for the position of Payroll Specialist should possess:
2 years of Payroll Experience: Demonstrated experience in payroll processing and related functions.
Nonprofit Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in a nonprofit setting is a plus.
Proficiency in Payroll Software: Experience with payroll software systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in Excel: Experience with pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas
Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing and data management.
