Job SummaryOur client is seeking a dynamic Production Planner with expertise in supply chain manufacturing to play a pivotal role in their procurement operations. Key Responsibilities Of The Production Planner
- Strategic Procurement: As the Production Planner, you will negotiate and procure materials, supplies, and services to support short and long-term production goals, ensuring favorable terms and optimal cost-effectiveness.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage purchase orders and communicate forecast changes to suppliers, minimizing excess inventory and maintaining optimum stock levels.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with ISO standards and audit supplier procedures to uphold quality and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Bill of Materials: Maintain and update bills of materials to reflect accurate requirements for production.
- Purchasing Messages: Review and act on purchasing messages generated by the MRP system.
- Purchase Planning: Develop and execute purchase plans to support production schedules.
- Scrap Yield: The Production Planner will monitor and manage scrap yield to optimize material usage and cost.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to international markets.
- Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Sage X3 software is a plus, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, formulas).
- Certification: CPIM certification or equivalent supply chain management certification is preferred.
- Compliance Knowledge: Experience with ISO standards and government contract compliance preferred.
