Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Senior Accountant role will have a heavy reconciliation focus
- Our client recently moved from one system to another
- How the reconciliations need to be done changed with the fiscal year (e.g. make sure ending balances from last year tie with beginning balances in the new system; explain reconciliation differences in a concise format as to why there might be variances - will be looking at balances in foreign currency, translated to US dollars, could be different)
- Senior Accountant will assist with ad hoc tasks and projects, as requested
Requirements:
- 3 years of accounting reconciliations experience required for Senior Accountant role
- Senior Accountant must know foreign currency exchange. Will be digging through data and translating how data changes from foreign currency to US currency.
- Bachelor's degree is required in accounting or finance, ability to apply US GAAP principles
- Nonprofit experience is a plus but NOT required
- Senior Accountant must have foreign currency experience - must understand how foreign currency works, currency translation adjustments
- Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, SharePoint
- Strong Excel skills - pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP's
- Previous Workday experience is a plus but NOT required if Senior Accountant has strong technology skills - will be going in Workday and running reports, then data dumping
