Location: Stamford, CT
This investment management firm is looking for a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant is responsible for the firm's management company, general partner entities, and investment accounting and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant
- Maintain books/records including cash management, closes, and capital allocations
- Monitor deal flow and prepare capital calls/distributions
- Utilize internal capital allocation software and prepare portfolio reporting
- Understand complex entity structures and provide reporting for tax compliance
- Prepare external tax/regulatory filings and reports
- Manage fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
- Minimum of four years of relevant accounting experience in private companies or public accounting
- Bachelor's in Accounting (CPA preferred but not required)
- Advanced Excel skills for data management and reporting
- Strong multi-tasking abilities and deadline-driven
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Keen attention to detail and process orientation
- Experience with accounting systems/ERP
