What The Staff Accountant Will Do
- The Staff Accountant will reconcile key general ledger and sub-ledger accounts; oversee group accounts; prepare monthly journal entries.
- The Staff Accountant will prepare and validate monthly financial reports and reconciliations; alert management of issues or delays.
- The Staff Accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly, or annual financial grant reports; record necessary journal entries.
- The Staff Accountant will reconcile funding processes for billing or drawdowns from federal, state, local agencies, or other sources.
- The Staff Accountant will ensure allowable spending and proper allocation methods; monitor expenses for unallowable costs.
- 3 years of experience as an accountant
- Experience in the non-profit industry is a plus
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting is highly preferred
- Must have strong Excel skills
