Role Summary:

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing and fine-tuning in-house computer software systems and network connections. Your responsibilities will include participating in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to align system provisioning and maintenance with our company objectives, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support for systems environment.
  2. Improve systems stability.
  3. Support client activities.
  4. Guide system operations.
  5. Configure hardware and systems.

Detailed Duties:

  1. Provide support for systems environment:

    • Lead installations, updates, and customizations of operating system and application software.
    • Perform hardware installations and upgrades.
    • Maintain network infrastructure and troubleshoot issues.
    • Monitor system capacity and performance.
    • Implement and support applications residing on server systems.
    • Ensure compliance with security policies.
    • Document infrastructure components and changes.
  2. Improve systems stability:

    • Research and resolve complex problems.
    • Test hardware and OS patches.
    • Proactively identify and address stability issues.
    • Evaluate new technology and products.
    • Conduct post-mortem reviews of extended outages.
  3. Support client activities:

    • Provide critical support and participate in on-call rotation.
    • Prepare documentation for junior staff members.
    • Manage user access and roles.
  4. Guide system operations:

    • Design, configure, and document IT infrastructure.
    • Act as a technical advisor.
    • Evaluate and improve processes.
    • Define corporate IT standards.
    • Mentor team members.
    • Lead efforts to architect IT systems.
  5. Configure hardware and systems:

    • Perform configurations and deployments of servers, routers, switches, wireless devices, and firewalls.
    • Troubleshoot server and network equipment.

  • Expert knowledge of networks, server systems utilities, and Windows Active Directory.
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and current technologies.
  • Technical leadership skills.
