Creative Foam Corporation has openings for a Quality Manager at its facility in Bremen, Indiana.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
1.Lead cross functional teams, in a manufacturing environment, related to product development and transfer to production in an ISO certified quality system for elastomeric, flexible materials including foam and fabric products.
2.Mentor, Coach, and Develop direct reports, peers, and management staff with respect to quality requirements and compliance.
3.Develop Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to communicate customer design requirements.
4.Participate in the preparation and development of risk assessments and quality deliverables including Control Plans, Capability Plans, Part layouts, Gage design, Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) for production processes and product design.
5.Interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) for customer drawings and design requirements for foam and fabric products.
6.Use internal enterprise data system and customer portal(s) to coordinate compliance to specification between customers and suppliers.
7.Implement Six Sigma techniques and Kaizen to drive operational improvements.
Position requires: Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or foreign equivalent education, and 4 years experience working in Engineering or Quality positions. 4 years experience is required in each of the following:
1.leading cross-functional teams for production launch in an ISO certified quality system for elastomeric, flexible materials including foam and fabric components;
2.educating and coaching all levels and disciplines of staff in a manufacturing environment for quality requirements and compliance;
3.developing PPAP to communicate customer design requirements;
4.participation in creating and developing risk assessments and mitigations related to production processes and product design using PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans;
5.analyzing foam and fabric products using GD&T for customer drawings, and design requirements;
6.using internal enterprise data system and customer portal(s) for administering specifications between customers and suppliers;
7.applying Six Sigma tools for operational improvements;
Experience may be obtained concurrently.
