G & W Products is a leader in contract metal manufacturing and fabrication. Founded in 1968, our areas of expertise include metal stamping, laser cutting, fabrication, manual and robotic welding, tool and die work, powder coating and assembly. Our modern facilities include 170,000 square feet of manufacturing space between three facilities. Our current equipment includes two fiber lasers, four press brakes, 20 stamping presses, powder coat line, robotic and manual welding cells. We specialize in numerous industries including construction, transportation, energy, and defense. We are searching for Welders to join our 2nd shift team in Fairfield, OH. This position will work Monday - Thursday from 3:30 pm - 2:00 am with opportunities for overtime on Fridays.
This position will follow blueprint product specifications to weld and fabricate parts to customer designs. Daily responsibilities are to align, fit and weld parts together. Set up and operate hand tools. Verify fabricated elements meet design specifications.
Qualifications: Previous experience in welding in a manufacturing setting. Ability to work as a team.
Familiar with welding tools, practice safe and correct procedures of metalworking equipment in shop environment. Ability to read engineering blueprints and schematics.
Set up welding machines based on the job at hand. Follow quality standards by providing great attention to detail. Ensure work is done safely. Ability to work as team to maximize efficiency and productivity. Lift raw materials (up to 50 pounds). Must have the ability to weld and fabricate components complete by interpreting and analyzing drawing files; maintaining quality and safety standards; keep detailed records; maintain shop equipment and supplies.
Duties: Must be able to pass D1.1, D1.3 weld certification within 2 weeks of hire. AWS certification history is a PLUS. Upon interviewing candidate must demonstrate that they have been through the weld certification process. Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
This is a 2nd shift full-time position with benefits. Hours for 2nd shift are 3:30 - pm - 2:00 am Monday - Thursday. Health, dental, vision and 401K available first of month after 30 days continuous employment. Company paid holiday and PTO. 401K with company match.
