Position Title: Fiscal Sponsorship Program Manager

Department(s): Fiscal Sponsorship

Reports To: CFO, Grace Breuer

Position Summary:

Creative Visions, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and United Nations NGO, empowers creative activists worldwide to raise awareness of critical issues and drive positive change through impact storytelling. Through our Fiscal Sponsorship program, we provide vital resources and fiscal management assistance for media and education projects at all stages of development.

The Fiscal Sponsorship Program Manager will support our fiscally sponsored projects daily, helping to improve and expand our Fiscal Sponsorship program. Responsibilities:

Project Relationships & Onboarding:

  • Act as the central contact for all sponsored projects, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Oversee the intake process for new organizations seeking fiscal sponsorship. This includes:
  • Evaluating their alignment with Creative Visions' mission.
  • Assessing their capacity to deliver the project and goals and meet financial responsibilities.
  • Providing guidance and support throughout the onboarding process.
  • Train and orient new and existing projects on Creative Visions' systems and processes.

Project Communication & Support:

  • Serve as the central point of contact for all fiscal sponsorship projects, managing communication via email, Zoom, and phone calls.
  • Foster ongoing, responsive communication with project leaders, promptly addressing their needs.
  • Implement quarterly “Check-in Chats” and “Creative Conversations.”

External Collaboration & Resources:

  • Foster strategic partnerships with Creative Visions staff, independent contractors, key external partners, and funders to support our fiscally sponsored projects.
  • Facilitate access to external resources by coordinating consultations and service delivery from attorneys, industry professionals, and nonprofits.
  • Manage support and troubleshooting needs related to Network for Good's platform, ensuring smooth operations for sponsored projects.

Impact & Program Development:

  • Track project outcomes to demonstrate alignment with Creative Visions' mission and strategic impact.
  • Collaborate with the CEO or designee to gather ongoing project feedback and use it to inform policy and process recommendations that drive program improvement.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and data analysis to showcase program value and support partnership goals.

Program Management:

  • Track and communicate grant deadlines to fiscally sponsored projects.
  • Support the submissions of grants and reports on behalf of fiscal sponsorship projects.
  • Track project milestones and ensure adherence to program guidelines.

Program Growth & Innovation:

  • Engage in professional development and networking opportunities (both in-person and virtual) to stay current on industry best practices and expand the program's reach.
  • Stay updated on professional standards, laws, regulations, and technology related to fiscal sponsorship and nonprofit operations.
  • Manage data in TeamWork and AirTable. Collaborate with the technology designee to identify and implement new systems and technologies for program optimization.

Program Content Creation:

  • Maintain a basic proficiency in Instagram to engage with project content, share updates, and promote program news.
  • Contribute monthly content to the program's newsletter, including project spotlights and grant opportunities.

Policy & Performance Management:

  • Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and their designees to develop and implement policies and procedures for fiscally sponsored projects and organizations.
  • Work with the leadership of sponsored organizations to establish clear performance objectives and expectations for their personnel, ensuring alignment with Creative Visions' mission.

Contracting, Compliance & Agreement Management:

  • Manage the contracting process for new sponsored projects, collaborating with Legal to review, negotiate, and finalize agreements that safeguard Creative Visions' interests.
  • Ensure compliance by both Creative Visions and sponsored organizations:
  • Monitor fulfillment of contractual obligations by sponsored projects.
  • Oversee delivery of deliverables from fiscal sponsorship projects.
  • Advise sponsored organizations on adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile project activities with reported financials through a joint narrative and financial reports review.
  • Conduct due diligence on potential and existing sponsored projects and organizations.
  • Evaluate grant and fundraising proposals for alignment with fiscal sponsorship agreements.

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of philanthropic, charitable foundation, and/or non-profit experience preferred.
  • Experience working in the social entertainment industry: multimedia, arts, music, film, performing arts, etc.
  • Experience working with comprehensive (“Model C”) fiscal sponsorship or nonprofit financial management and accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with operations, finance, fundraising, and/or development staff to achieve program growth and meet goals.
  • Experience providing technical assistance or other capacity-building support is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector, ideally in fiscal sponsorship or community development. Understanding the landscape of non-profit work and the challenges faced by emerging organizations is crucial.

Qualifications: skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for clear communication with both internal teams and external project partners.
  • Experience working with diverse partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relationship-building ability, and the ability to build trust and rapport with potential and existing sponsored projects are crucial.
  • Exceptional detail orientation and an appropriate sense of urgency in dynamic situations are required.
  • A high level of professional ethics, integrity, and the ability to maintain confidential information is required.

The starting pay range for this position is $75,000 - $84,000 plus benefits annually, based on the level of education and relevant experience. Please submit the following application materials:
