The best idea wins Leave A Legacy - Set up your successors for success POSITION PURPOSEThe Senior Warehouse Manager supports CCBC by ensuring that all the inventory inside of the 4 walls of the production facility is present and accounted for and in peek condition. For raw materials that process starts when product is unloaded and continues until it is put away. For finished goods the process starts just when the raw materials are pulled from storage to staging and continues until the finished goods are leaving the facility for a distribution center. ACTIVITIES & OUTCOMES
Manage warehouse staff and ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
Manage and coordinate the daily operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and returns processing
Manages assigned staff (5-6 employees) across 2 shifts and lead the performance management of an assigned team/department, including interviewing, hiring, new hire and ongoing training, discipline, annual evaluations, etc.
Oversees team tasks related to shipping, receiving, inventory management, and returns processing
Demonstrates consistent alignment with and observance of the Creature Comforts Values and instills those in teams under their leadership
Plan and schedule all inbound and outbound shipments necessary to sustain business operations
Warehouse space planning to forecast future plans and needs to adjust space allocations
Collaborate with operating departments on production planning and scheduling
Ensure peek freshness levels for shipped finished goods by directing staff to properly cycle stock using FIFO stock rotation best practices daily
Ensure the warehouse is clean and organized and that safety protocols are followed
Manage day to day operations of two warehouse locations totaling ~75,000 sqft and 4 dock doors averaging 12-20 trucks a week
Maintains raw materials and finished goods inventory storage and staging locations
Ensure peek freshness levels for shipped finished goods by properly cycling stock using FIFO stock rotation best practices daily
Ensure warehouse team stores, stacks, or palletizes material in a timely manner in accordance with prescribed receiving, storage, and shipping methods daily
Walk/inspect warehouse area and coolers twice daily for damaged or out of date product
Ensure that warehouse staff loads and unloads scheduled trailers in a timely manner daily
Confirm that cycle counts for materials on receiving dock, shipping dock, and in staging locations are completed on a weekly cadence (minimum)
Ensure that inventory control staff cycle counts entire facility monthly
Prepare and review documentation and scheduled reporting regarding shipping and receiving functions
Review packing lists, verify lot numbers, bill of ladings, and Purchase orders for accuracy
Cross check receiving paperwork (packing list, lot numbers, spec sheets, etc.) with goods received to ensure 100% accuracy of shipment
Ensure good receipt and sales orders in SAP software match what was physically removed or placed on truck
Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate warehouse performance for inbound and outbound loading and unloading procedures
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ related experience required; previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to drive a forklift, if needed
Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
