Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester with a background in investment banking to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our financial software systems and applications. This position requires a deep understanding of investment banking processes and strong expertise in testing complex financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Strategy: Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements for various investment banking applications.
• Automation Testing: Design and implement automated test scripts using testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Manual Testing: Perform detailed manual testing when required, ensuring that all critical functionalities of the banking systems are fully validated.
• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects using appropriate tools, collaborating with developers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure testing practices comply with industry standards, regulations, and protocols, especially in relation to banking and financial services.
• Performance & Load Testing: Conduct performance, stress, and load testing to validate system stability and reliability under varying conditions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, project managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and business objectives.
• Investment Banking Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of investment banking functions such as trading, settlements, risk management, and regulatory reporting to guide testing efforts.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a QA Tester, with specific experience in investment banking environments.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG), manual testing methodologies, and SQL for database validation.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong knowledge of investment banking operations, including trading, equities, derivatives, fixed income, risk management, and compliance.
• Regulations: Familiarity with industry regulations such as MiFID, Basel, Dodd-Frank, etc.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues in financial systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Certification in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB).
• Exposure to financial technologies (FinTech) and platforms such as Calypso, Murex, or other trading and risk management systems.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
