Position RequirementsEducation, Credentials, Licenses:
- A High School Diploma, GED, or earning within a designated period of time following your date of hire;
- Position-specific vocational education/experience, training, or certification is preferred.
- Sit-down and/or stand-up forklift certification required; in-house certification will be provided prior to start.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred
- Prior experience utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, pumps, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and tanks is preferred.
- Able to work in extreme climates (high/low)
- Able to walk up stairs, climb ladders, and walk long distances
- Able to independently lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis during shift.
- Comply with all customers, regulatory, and quality requirements in the performance of all tasks as set forth in the company’s policies and procedures
- Adherence to proper PPE practices, including, but not limited to, steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, occasional hairnets and/or beard nets
- Keep equipment and work area clean and organized
- Basic computer skills
- Understand and follow instructions to package various chemicals into drums and pails
- Operate various process equipment including pumps, agitators, valves, and steam heating systems
- Produce Star glycerin from a mixture of glycerin and water
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Unload empty drums from trailers
- Climb atop tanker trucks using ladders, stairs, safety gates and shroud boom around manway
- Operate drum fill machines
- Shrink wrap and palletize drums
- Verify and double-check final product packaged weight to ensure it meets customer expectations
- Inspect and label drums, ensure proper closure, and store drums according to accepted standards
- Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations.
- Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements.
- Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance to all Local, State and Federal Regulations.
- Other duties as requested.
