JOB POSITION TITLE : QUALITY INSPECTOR I
FLSA STATUS : NON-EXEMPT
JOB POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision, performs work of intermediate difficulty in inspection and compliance in manufacturing operations.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF JOB POSITION
Work involves attention to detail of quality product production. This position contributes to quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with final product.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Typically engages in the following movements : Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling and writing and repetitive motions.
Exerts up to 50 pounds of force regularly, and / or a negligible amount of force occasionally to move objects. Will use close and color vision.
Depth perception needed.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS

Convey excellent oral and written communication.
Good knowledge of ESD control, quality standards, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing.
Ability to interpret documents, work instructions, engineering change notices, drawing deviations and schematics.
Ability to visibly differentiate colors.
Proficient in the use of basic mechanical measurement tools and stereomicroscope.
Proficient in time management, trouble shooting, problem solving, organization of tasks, development, integration, and self-motivation.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Proficient in team environment.
Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Outlook, Word. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems is a plus.
EDUCATION AND / OR WORK EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Electronics inspection experience is a plus.
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD Certifications within 6 months of employment. American Society of Quality certifications are a plus.
