Job Description

*Help Desk or Desk Side Support a PLUS

NOTE

This position may require overtime or an occasional Saturday work if there is an emergency such as power outage, etc. (Prior notice will be given)

Contract Type Temp to hire based on performance

Shift Schedule Monday Friday 8am 4pm, Note: overtime and an occasional Saturday may be required in the event of an emergency situation (i.e.; outage, etc.)

Manager Reporting to Steve

Pay Scale per hour $26.00 per hour

Skills required Help desk, Desk side support, is a plus

New position or Back-filling Back-fill for someone in July, June

Education Required High School

Software Knowledge i.e.; Excel, SAP, Oracle, etc

Interview Process (3 interviews) 1st panel Interview in Teams (screening), 2nd Interview w/Manager 3rd Interview w/ Manager and (On-site)

Job Information

CW - IT Support Specialist

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

Provides support of all PC, network, and Server hardware and software applications included but not limited to: Lotus Notes, MS Outlook, MS Office, Virtual Desktop, Junos Pulse, Active Directory, Landesk Application Deployment, MDT Imaging for PCs, Cisco Network Hardware, Facility Cabling, RF Equipment, and various end user applications and computing devices. Receives direction for more complex issues from Lead Administrators or management.

Provides troubleshooting. Assists with product evaluation, selection, deployment, and use.

May participate in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implements prototypes.

Provides setup, deployment, and support of mobile devices.

Monitors on-site IS Systems, including backups, UPS, and server/network equipment.

Provide remote support for facilities and associates.

Maintain, support, and configure warehouse devices (Printers, RF Units, Terminals, etc).

Engages with external vendors for support and services.

Conducts end user training and learning sessions with associates.

Assists in technology planning and budgeting, maintenance of technical documentation, and identification of process improvement opportunities.

Maintains listing of spare inventory and electronic waste.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

High school diploma required; Associates or Technical school degree preferred

1-2 years experience providing IS Support

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

(Those necessary to perform the job competently)

Ability to multitask, troubleshoot, and adapt to changing environment

Outstanding customer service skills

Ability to travel up to 15% of time

Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple work streams.

Ability to prioritize multiple high priority support requests

Working knowledge of Lotus Notes and LanDesk technologies

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis.

May travel domestically and internationally up to 10-15% of time

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs, and occasionally up to 60 lbs.
